CHURCH HISTORY

Bishop Kendall and Pastor Joyce Fleetwood were married November 16,1985. To this union was added two handsome sons, Jawan and Joshua Fleetwood. Pastors Joyce and Kendall Fleetwood are two beautiful people who truly love the Lord and always seek His guidance and will for their lives.

Years ago, back in 1992, Elder Fleetwood was given a vision. After serving under Elder MacArthur and working the vineyard in Hartsville for five years with not much success, God told him that He would plant him and send him back to the Darlington are in due time and that Darlington would be the middle ground between Florence and Hartsville. God told him that he would draw souls from all three cities.

The vision was shared with his precious wife, Pastor Joyce Fleetwood, who strengthened and enjoyed the work of God. That vision was then shared with his pastor and Bishop Michael Goings in 1996. He believed this vision but as a wise master builder, he was concerned about the right timing of the work.

Bishop Kendall and Pastor Joyce Fleetwood remained faithful under their Spiritual Leaders for another three years until they were released. From their Spiritual Father and Mother they received blessings to embark on the Pastorial Vision which God had given them. The day before Bishop Goings released Elder Kendall Fleetwood and Pastor Joyce Fleetwood to go to Darlington, God used Pastor Wayne Sharpe from Church of Jesus Christ in Raleigh,NC. He was calling Pastor Louise, she had a message on the answering machine stating to make hotel reservations early because of the big race in Darlington. Pastor Sharpe stated that God told him immediately, "when you get to the conference tell Elder Fleetwood and Pastor Joyce that I am going to bless them in Darlington." This man of God did not know that they were already being sent to Darlington. He had never even heard of Darlington before. As a result, this church was thrusted forth with a supernatural confirmation, which in not taken for granted.

They journeyed on, taking with them only the blessings pronounced upon them, and the offerings and gifts given to them by the Outreach Church Family. On April 4, 1999, they opened the doors of Victory Tabernacle Bible Training Center and the first services began. Many services consisted of only Elder Fleetwood, Pastor Joyce and the sons of thunder, Jawan and Joshua. But in three years times, the congregations has elevated to approximately 70 people and a new sanctuary. God has blessed them in such a short time. To God be the Glory!

We, the members at Victory Tabernacle Bible Training Centeer, truly love our pastors and know that God has placed them in our lives for guidance. Our pastors are always there for us ready to give spiritual guidance, no matter what time of day and night.

What is so special about our pastors is that they are always the same. Whenever you see Pastor Joyce she always has a beautiful smile on her face that always seems to glow. Pastor Kendall Fleetwood is a little more stern but you get the same result from both, the love of God.

They have made an impact on all of our lives. God has truly blessed Pastors Joyce and Kendall Fleetwood and the Victory Tabernacle Bible Training Center's family as well as the entire Darlington area. He has placed these two beautfiul people over our lives who truly love to share the word of God.
